You can pretend your right because I won't argue with you here, but I doubt you want to win that way...start a thread. :)

I posted scripture for the OP to consider.

You've posted no scripture in response to my post, just quoted my posts and repeatedly told me I'm wrong over and over, which I find odd since I posted scripture to go along with my words and I said nothing in opposition to the revealed Word of God.

I don't need to make a thread. I never initiated this little discussion between us.

Abraham was a liar who had zero faith in the power of God.

Doesn't Genesis 15:6 say Abram believed the LORD, and he credited it to him as righteousness

When didn't he believe in the power of God?

Genesis 17:17

Everyone struggles at times with faith, belief, and obedience. Even Abraham had his moments..

Did he have faith in God? Yes and to a degree most of us don't - but the Bible shows Abraham's faith as something that needed to grow and be developed through experience.

Only Jesus lived a perfect life and had perfect faith.

Completely oblivious. Sure you posted scripture but completely ignored where I gave you proof you twisted the scripture to mean what you want by completely ignoring certain facts. I'd rather post no scripture than to twist what I do post.

Amazing, you just keep proving me right.

Guys, knock off the debating. The sister needs help, and you are making things more difficult.

Kim, essentially you are elevating what you think was a sin - marrying your husband - above the efficacy of the blood of Christ. That doesn't compute. There is no sin that cannot be forgiven if it is repented, save the blasphemy of the Holy Spirit. And while that sin is debatable, we have to understand that it is a profound and willful denial of all the goodness of God.

You're right that salvation isn't free. It cost Jesus everything to purchase it for us. But He offers it freely to us. It is a gift we cannot earn.

You are also right that there is a price to following Jesus. Those who sincerely accept Christ will follow Him, not merely wear the label. And that will cause problems. But to say that following imperfectly brings damnation to the heart that still wants to follow is dead wrong. You are doing yourself a grave disservice, and you are underestimating the grace available to us.

"Taste and see that the Lord is good". You have beautiful children, a gift from God. They need you to overcome this error in your thinking. God is on your side in this, He is not against you. Remember Heb 11.6:

And without faith it is impossible to please him, for whoever would draw near to God must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who seek him.

God wants you to believe in His goodness and His power to save. This fatalism is not of Him. It is our enemy the devil who comes to steal, kill, and destroy. Don't give him the satisfaction of ripping you off any longer. Read Romans 8. There is no condemnation for those in Christ Jesus. Missing it on occasion is not a permanent disqualification.

Then how is God ever to become All in all? See First Corinthians 15:28.

1 Corinthians 15:24

Then the end will come, when He (Jesus) hands over the kingdom to God the Father after He has destroyed all dominion, authority, and power.

Thats when God becomes all in all.

I am familiar with the verse...but my question was how, not when.

Revelation 17

14They will make war against the Lamb, and the Lamb will triumph over them, because He is Lord of lords and King of kings; and He will be accompanied by His called and chosen and faithful ones.”

He wins the war (battle of Armageddon)

I found your posts very helpful personally and inline with my understanding of salvation. Thank you for trying to help one of our lost souls find peace!

All you have to do is confess that you were disobedient when you married him, acknowledge that Jesus died on the cross and rose from the grave to forgive that sin of yours, and decide to follow Jesus when making any future decisions. If neither of you were married before, then of course stay married to him, you can still be married to him and be a good Christian who is forgiven and going to Heaven.
