I’ve been encouraged to spend 30 minutes in prayer everyday. I’ve had longer sessions in the past and do challenges throughout the year. Bible reading is slower because I’m addressing the text in Hebrew.

I have a hope planner. It’s a prayer journal. I’ve used notebooks in the past but I’ll try the planner and see how I like it.

Are you reading through the Bible by book and chapter, or focusing on specific topics? Either way, it's inspiring to hear that you're sourcing the original language. I sometimes cross-reference different translations, but rarely delve into the Greek or Hebrew.

I'm hoping to have a better routine in 2023 as I start to taper down my doctor appointments, social media use, less marathon training &more strength stretch & balance and get more involved with church life group and serving.

If winter snowplowing doesn't take up too much time, I will be able to have more weekends to minimize distractions since I put most social extensions on hold till the spring except my birthday. The Daniel fast is also a good time for me too reset which I will do during the lent season paired with media fast. I think since I will be getting walking again in February i might do prayer walks again.

I pray whenever the spirit moves throughout the day, as God is always there. Whether I'm in the shower, in the woods, or eating a meal when I do, prayer isn't something that I typically schedule.

I discovered a wonderful channel that may bless you in your time away. I really like her messages.

@Miles

We used a transliterated siddur in the synagogue. It’s helpful with pronunciation but less so with reading. We also had Hebrew classes. I’ve started at the beginning and I’m working through it slowly. I’ve contemplated using the parshah (weekly teachings) as a topical help.

The Tanakh Read Along is available in the app store. It allows you to follow the text with transliterated and audio aids. Hebrew for Christians is a good starting point. They have a lot of resources and provide explanations of biblical practices.

I want to develop fluency in Hebrew. OnceI have I’ll tackle Greek. Reading the bible in its native tongue removes translator bias and mistakes.
