..........you are quite right praying for the souls of those who murder would be appropriate, but that part of Christianity is usualy the first thing forgotten by those who are more loyal to other causes.Canadian-eh said:If our old man is still in control the "natural" response is to retaliate..The new man has to get on his knees, and pray for the perpetrators of this horrible crime. AMEN! You said it well. This is a good way to see where people's loyalty lies.renegade pariah said:..........you are quite right praying for the souls of those who murder would be appropriate, but that part of Christianity is usualy the first thing forgotten by those who are more loyal to other causes.
Rome of course! Lots of bad written about it in the Biblerenegade pariah said:.....too many Christians are seduced by conformity to the world, and put their trust in politicians. Satan himself tried to seduce Christ with being conformed to his world, but Christ rejected his offer of power and influence. Why then do so many Christians support the ruler of this world? Seems like the corrupting influences of Rome and Athens hold more sway than that of Jerusalem.

........gee after two years they havent found Bin Ladin yet, but you are certain they can find al terrorists untill they are all gone?aeroz19 said:I have heard about this second (or has there been more?) beheading, and I am

I just found a link on the story. This has got to end. It could have been my dad, your dad, anyone's dad (and it was someone's dad). My dad was over there in the first war! Thankfully nothing happened like this the first time (or did it?)
What should the U.S. do? Keep doing what we're doing! One by one we're picking them off. I think we killed the beheaders already.
Sooner or later, all the rest of those terrorists will pay.
the reason why they want us out is because we as Americans run the majority of the oil works in Saudi as it is, they want us and the Saudi royal family out of control so they can charge 40$ a barrel for crude.renegade pariah said:......If America was not so greedy for oil, there would be no need to be in Saudi Arabia.

.........If Bin Ladin were actually able to achieve his goal, America would be shut out of Saudi oil completely. Meanwhile global warming and pollution remain pressing issues...problems future generations will have to face because of our greed and excess. Of course the road we are on may just hasten Armagedon in which case the wasteful habits of North Americans won't matter.n2wolves said:the reason why they want us out is because we as Americans run the majority of the oil works in Saudi as it is, they want us and the Saudi royal family out of control so they can charge 40$ a barrel for crude.

But Americans are the only ones qualified to run the oil production in Saudi Arabia. Who else could do this? The Saudis? The rebels? They would never be able to produce enough oil to influence the market, and thereby be able to charge $40 a barrel.n2wolves said:the reason why they want us out is because we as Americans run the majority of the oil works in Saudi as it is, they want us and the Saudi royal family out of control so they can charge 40$ a barrel for crude.
You make a good point. But I would like to point out my reason for being generally opposed to drilling in the Alaskan reserves (I'm also for reduction of dependence on the House of Saud) - all the data I'm seen suggests that the Alaskan reserves are very limited, and would not provide a long-term supply. I've seen varying figures, but none of them gave, in my opinion, a long enough supply for us to switch over 100% to non-fossil fuel energy supplies. I don't support ruining a wilderness preserve as a highly temporary fix - it's too short sighted. If it could be shown to me (with trustworthy data, and not from an oil drilling company, for obvious reasons) that the Alaskan reserves does represent a long-term solution, I would take that into account and consider modifying my opinion, but as it stands now, I can't even consider endorsing drilling there.SuzQ said:The same people who criticize Bush for keeping relations with Saudi are also the same ones who criticized him for investigating our oil reserves within our own country in places like Alaska.Which way do you want it, folks? (I'd personally would rather that we continue to take from a desert in Saudi then ruin our nature preserves in Alaska). I don't think Americans are going to all run out & buy these Hybrids or start riding bicycles on the freeways anytime soon...
........are you sure? who ran the oil fields for Saddam?PatrickM said:But Americans are the only ones qualified to run the oil production in Saudi Arabia. Who else could do this? The Saudis?
