The people who did this are not representative of the Iraqi people as a whole, just as the many, many *American* soldiers who tortured and abused many *many* Iraqi prisoners are not representative of our country as a whole.

We have goals in Iraq, and we have killed men, women, and children to achieve those goals. They have goals as well, (namely ending the US occupation of Iraq) and is it any surprise that they will kill in an attempt to achieve them?

Regardless of which side has the "correct" ideals and morals, atrocities have been committed by both.

Personally I feel that the most inhumane thing any individual can do is value people of one nationality, race, religion, sex, etc. over another.

paul johnson was killed by al-qaida operatives in saudi arabia, where he was living and working.

sticking with the movie theme: "dude where's my car" and "the pledge." repeated watching of those movies would make me confess sins that i didn't even commit.

Well, let's see...considering who He was and what He could do, he probably would have wept for Paul Johnson briefly, shaken his head in sorrow, laid his hands upon him and reattached his head, resurrecting him and sending him on his way. He then would have given up his own life in Johnson's place.

Go right ahead and follow his example. Meanwhile, the rest of us will deal with the issue by trying to stop it from happening again.

That's why the US isn't a true democracy: it wouldn't work. The common folk are stupid and easily manipulated in to believing anything. But there isn't much the government should do about AIDS anyways, that's a problem with the church not spreading the truth about sex before marriage.
