View media item 61868Good morning my dear friends in Christ!

"And the king and his men went to Jerusalem unto the Jebusites, the inhabitants of the land: which spake unto David, saying, Except thou take away the blind and the lame, thou shalt not come in hither: thinking, David cannot come in hither.” - II Samuel 5:6

According to classical rabbinical literature, the Jebusites’ name arrives from the city of Jebu, which is the ancient city we know as Jerusalem. We do know that the Jebusites lived in the mountains around Jerusalem (Numbers 13:29, Joshua 11:3). Here are some things we do know about the Jebusites... #D4Ldevotion #D4L #Christian

This really stood out for me from the linked article:

"They always saw others as the problem."

Herein lies their own self-demise. Their stiff-necked stubbornness coupled with being a "people of war" brought their own curses onto themselves. What comes to mind is that the gods they worshiped were most likely "war gods" and blood thirsty. Herein lies their absolute poverty above all else, and that was that they were bereft of "hope". Their "gods" could not help them, save them, offer them "rest" or "peace", or offer "hope".

This verse below comes to mind.

Thank you for this powerful and profound reminder and study on this cool-ish but sunny and beautiful Saturday morning in June, brother.

God bless you.

Thank you.

And yes, it is written that God will not always strive with man.

And a most blessed Cat-ur-day to you as well.
