mum's gonna visit dad for a couple of months, please pray that he'll be willing to go to church with her. last time we talked over the phone, he asked whether my church has closed down yet, as a joke of course, but he usually doesn't joke about things like that.

It is clear you are concerned about your dad. Sometimes people joke about church but something is probally stirring around him to even make the comment. God is very powerful. I pray that He moves the heart of your dad. hey, if He can take Saul and turn him into Paul, He can do anything, right??? I pray that something you or your mom says will be what your dad needs to hear to turn his eyes to God. The examples you set as a christian can speak volumes to some people. Live your life for Christ so your dad continues to see Him living in you.

mel3, that's probably the problem exactly, i've always been a good girl.. i went to church with mum since primary, and no big fights ever happened at home (even though now that he's not at home), so he doesn't even notice any subtle changes; but u're right... i just need to go out and let him know... but he automatically shies away from these kind of topics.
