  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Dear Lord, we ask you to look after devoted daughters father in his time of sickness. We know that you are an awesome God who heals those who ask for it, and we just ask that you put your hand upon him and make him well again. We also commit the family of this man to you to give them strength in this time. You truely are a great God who can perform so many miricles and we pray that this family can recover fully from their shock and pain. In the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, Amen.

devoted daughter said:
 Dear Heavenly Father, please be close to my father as his mind and body recover. Help him to regain the strength he needs to function during his final days, and help him to be with us, and have joy for as long as possible. Please help to guide his doctors, and help those who seek to help and support my father. Please help him to have comfort, humor, and hope, and help him to have peace about the future, whatever it may hold, and help him to know how much we love him; please help him to be free from fear. Thy will be done. INJC.
Amen to your prayer. I will keep him, and you and your family in my prayers. Be strong, sister.:groupray:
