Scripture does not provide evidence of a handshake test being used in this encounter. Nice try, though.Jacob wrestled with God (who must have a body of flesh and bone- I know, off topic, but just saying)
Asking a question about lds scripture is being "obsessed"? Resorting to that tactic only shows you have nothing more of value to offer.Would have to do a lot of research to see if anyone since 1830 put in their journals that they offered their hand to an angel. Not sure why you are so obsessed with this grand key idea.
This "test" has been characterized as a "grand key" in your D&C, so it seems pretty important. Yet, there are no Biblical examples of it happening, and apparently no lds accounts either. JS claimed to have two encounters in his Joseph Smith - History, one with the two "personages" and one with Moroni, yet did not record a handshake test in any of them.JS is just saying that if what looks like an angel from heaven (because we know that satan can parade himself as an angel of light) preaches another gospel and you are confused, find out if this angel is from God, so put out your hand and see what happens.
Doesn't seem like these "grand keys" are very grand. Galatians 1:8 is very applicable for D&C 129.
