The "Blue Line Flag", like the "Peace Now" flag, are desecrations of the American Flag.

They are flown by those who want to separate themselves from other Americans.

Biblically speaking, it's a very bad idea to be a goat. Jesus definitely had some harsh words for goats (Matthew 25:31-46) and things didn't work out too well for the goats after He got done with them.

Would you support extending the same rights to people burning the "pride" flag, for instance? Or neo-nazis spraypainting swastikas on government property, raising the flag of Nazi Germany, etc?

I have a distinct feeling that your support for "freedom of speech" and "the right of assembly" is limited to those with whom you agree, but of course I might be mistaken. It's been known to happen on rare occasions

Don't get me wrong. They have a perfect right to desecrate the flag if they wish. The Constitution is absolutely more important than the flag. But it's still a desecration and an insult to America.

Exactly as caring about the safety of any other group that is hated by scum is a political issue. Even the nazis, despicable as they are, are entitled to the same rights and safety we would have for ourselves. It's political, because there are those who would rig the laws to violate the rights of those people.

It's why we have a Constitution; it's a wall of protection against governmental abuses.
