chocolate! a hersheys mini milk chocolate bar a meal keeps the burn away. 'Course it also is wreaking havoc on my weight gain, but.... whats a little chocolate to add to the 30 some pounds I already gained

CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

that is great for you, but for those who have a chocolate adversion I found that milk with every meal did wonders.

Yep...me too..when I was pregnant and had terrible heartburn...as well as nausea...I found that at times all I could keep down was some ice cold chocolate milk...it also got rid of the heartburn for me...so hubby would wake up extra early every morning to get me my day's supply of sherbert push-ups and chocolate milk.

I found milk is the opposte if I have it when about to go to bed or something.

mom said that she drank milk of magnesia out of the bottle with my sister bc her heartburn was awful...ive never had heart burn

Actually I didn't with my first, barely noticed it with my second, and only now in the last two months have had it bad enough to seek relief.
If this progression keeps up I may need to stop having kids!

without music, life would be a mistake
I've been drinking chocolate milk non-stop. Last week I went through an entire bottle of chocolate syrup all by myself! But it works... and beats the chalky taste of Tums I didn't have bad heartburn with my first - but this time around, it's HORRIBLE!

I never heard that about chocolate before. I may have to test it.
Bananas have an antacid effect, and are also good for you. And although yes, they are chalky, Tums are good for you too. When I need them, I suck them instead of chewing, so I don't notice the chalkiness as much.

Just plain milk, or milk of magnesia if it's especially bad. I can't eat chocolate when I'm pregnant it makes me nauseous.
