The appointment of the new Protestant Affairs Director

<DIV id=post_message_30384850>Dear members and staff

Some of you may know that there has been a certain controversy over the recent appointment of the new Protestant Affairs Director, imaniingod. She was appointed by the Executive Committee although there is some dispute as to who voted for her appointment. I was not directly involved in the appointment process but fully support of the Executive Committee and their decision-making ability.

I want to announce that imaniingod has graciously resigned from the position of the Protestant Affairs Director effective immediately as she does not want to create further problems amongst members and staff. She will return to her previous staff position on CF.

I want to say that this is an act of great courage and grace. Her integrity and background has been questioned from multiple fronts and I don't blame her if she feels persecuted. However, I believe that God allows things to happen for certain reasons.

I am going to become a bit more involved in the appointment of the next Protestant Affairs Director and will be consulted before appointment. I have all faith that members of the Executive Committee including Pastor George, our site chaplain, have the wisdom to make the right choice.

I will ensure that there is wide consultation with the previous Protestant Affairs Director, ksen, as well as with key Protestant staff and members, because after all this person on the Executive is meant to represent their affairs and their interests.

Please bear with us as we go through this process. Pray for us.

I want to lastly apologise for my absence around CF in the past few weeks - today is the second last day of my holiday leave - despite being on holidays I have been very busy catching up with family and friends in real life and spending quality time with my wife. Tomorrow I go away for the weekend to attend my sister's wedding in the countryside, so I will be somewhat absent. Next week I begin work again.

However, I will promise to spend more time on CF both in the background fixing bugs and improving CF as well as ensuring that things are going as planned according to our vision.
