They arent..thats what we are sayin..

Oils, herbs, 'creations' designed by God that CAN be used medicinally..yes they exist. Only keep your mental state within Gods boundaries..

Again..Crystals hold no more energy than a staticy blanket outta the dryer..

Might be prettier tho..lol
herbs were created for man we are told in scripture, to eat and for life... medicines and health

we see this written in genesis

whats written in the word is whats important in this case. God punished the prognosticators and crystal gazers... so if one is TRUELY looking into thhis prayrefully, they will not resist the scripture. On the other hand if they are simply fooling themselves and playing a front trying to justify, it wont matter what is written and the practice will be carried forth anyway.

just my 2 cents

and how are crrystals used in any Godly way medicinally or spiritually?

This would nt be God working

I don't agree with the use of these things in the manner as suggested in the earlier posts, because of the mysticism and all the occult practices and new age connection as someone mentioned. scripture was given.

Here is my take on the medicinal view.
Scientific break throughs are being discovered all the time, and I don't know if any of you are familiar with the fact that some patients with severe diseases such as Rheumatoid arthritis and other autoimmune disorders have benefited from gold ingestion or injections. yes we are talking about the precious metal gold.
So would this be considered evil practice? Would it be biblically wrong to accept this treatment?

This is food for thought. And look at organ transplants and other amazing things that have been discovered. Don't tell me God is not glorified, when someone who receives a kidney transplant and can live a life without being on dialysis.

So hyperthetically speaking, medical scientists discover that if ground down quartz crystals made into a powder and ingested could cure breast cancer. What would be the Christian view on this?

These are just thoughts that have come to mind. I in no way, shape or form advocate crystal use in the ways mentioned in the OP.

Hey,

I personally don't think they're necessarily wrong. If you use them for New Age purposes, well then maybe. But if not, I see nothing wrong with it. I went on a road trip to Las Vegas once and we stopped in Arizona or something to go through the Petrfied Forrest. There was a gift shop and I bought a Rose Quartz stone because I thought it was pretty. I found out much later that Rose Quartz is supposed to have healing properties. Do I wear it for that? No. I just think it looks cool and it's really pretty. If you're just admiring then I see nothing wrong with it. These things (depending on how you use them) are no worse than black cats. And since when was anything God made evil or wrong?

I respect that. Just keep in mind that I'm looking into this with lots of prayer. So far I do not believe He has asked me to stop, He may later. For all I know this may lead me to a group of people that really need Christ. That's what I am thinking about in the long run.

About your refutation, there is truth to what you say that there is only power through Christ. I agree with you and believe that with all my heart.

Thanks for being honest! I love being prayed for too. Never can get enough of perfecting myself in Jesus Christ.

Thanks.

MY BROTHER,

Read your first Blog entry with interest. Perhaps we will discuss it soon when my bizarre work schedule gives me a break and a chance to breath.

Or there is a possibility that Christ created them with natural powers.

MY BROTHER,

Why in the world would He do that when ALL of God's power through the Holy Spirit resides in our hearts already.

#1.WHERE IS THE NEED?

#2. Given mankind's propensity since the beginning to make idols of inanimate objects which are WITHOUT any REAL power, why do you think He would create some WITH REAL power to draw our complete and total focus off of the Holy Trinity in which ALL POWER RESIDES?

My brother, it is a satanic delusion!

A BOND-SLAVE OF CHRIST,

Scientific break throughs are being discovered all the time,
With oils, you use them bodily. Bath, massage, compress..etc

With stones, you have to use your "mind". Hence ..your tripping into a spiritual battle right there.
There is a distinct difference between using an object for natural daily purposes, and to draw supernatural power. I would guess that everyone on the thread acknowledges this, but we're sort of dodging it. Medicinal mixes and oils can improve health, but the people selling crystals are promoting more than just medicine.

My theory on why people believe crystals "work:" The devil roams around like a roaring lion, seeking whom he can devour. Spirits are looking for ways that we will willingly yield ourselves.

We are curious and fascinated by understanding powers that we can't see. We have problems that aren't solved by ordinary logic and effort, so we try whatever people tell us works.

God has instructed us not to contact the dead, not to practice fortunetelling or spell-casting. There is a reason for this. He does not want us gullible, yielding to whatever unseen powers might be attracted by our openness.

It is not for obedience to rules that God tells us these things, but to protect us from being sucked into something more powerful than we can handle on our own strength.

When we assign power to something, we allow it to have power in our lives. Or at least, we allow a force behind it/assigned to it to have power.

It is not the crystal or the oil or the voodoo doll or the herb mix that causes a transfer in power. It is our minds and our yielded wills.

To the poster of this thread, I do hope you can sift through all of the advice and find something that is balanced and helpful for YOU.
As I have already stated, I personally love God and His Creation - even Crystals and precious stones, how wonderful they are and how awesomely do they reflect His light and positive power! Praise Him!!
I was watching 'Hour of Power' on television yesterday, it is shot in the 'Crystal Cathedral' in CA...not a bad program in itself.
I thought it very interesting that this apparent blessed 'house of God' is called the Crystal Cathedral...anyway, during the service there was an award/memento given to a dear sister there, who did something special - she was awarded with a very large cross, cut from pure Clear CRYSTAL....the pastor even making the remark that this "powerful Crystal has been cut in such a way to reflect its positive light and energy".
Nice to know that not all Christians hold onto the thought that Crystals are demonic and evil...

MY DEAR SISTER,

You are quite right that nothing God created--i.e., everything that exists--was "made evil or wrong." As Genesis rightly states, "GOD SAW ALL THAT HE HAD MADE AND IT WAS VERY GOOD." (Genesis 1:31)

However, since the Fall man, with the aid and support of Satan, has put good things to bad uses never intended by their Creator--for example: food has led some into gluttony; wine has led some into alcoholism; sex has led some into adultery; and crystals have led some into seeking Power belonging to God alone in a powerless rock. (i betcha Satan finds that one especially humorous.)
