These are the reasons it is so difficult to have an honest debate or thoughtful conversation, it really just makes me want to gag and do something else.

We're not going to apologize for our disapproval of your comments. If you can't handle retaliation and corrections when you make stunningly ignorant statements, then you should have done something else in the first place. If you honestly think you were creating a "thoughtful conversation," then there's your problem. It's difficult to contribute to such a conversation when you think that wearing clothes meant for the opposite sex is "too close" to a certain sexual orientation.

This is something that effects me personally, I would like to know how anyone else feels about it!

I dress in men's clothing all the time, at home and at work. It is much cheaper, easier to shop fore (all the sizes are the same!), it's more comfortable for me, and men's pants actually have decent pockets. Oh, and they tend to last longr being washed constantly!

What are your thoughts on cross dressing- for practical reasons or otherwise? Would you interact differently with someone that you notice is cross dressing than someone who is wearing clothing tailored for their gender?

For all intents and purposes I'm referring to cross dressing in an appropriate manner. I had a few pictures of a man who liked to wear a dress in public who looked very stunning and smart, but I seem to have lost them. It was something that fit him, was appropriate for public wear, and was not worn as a joke. This is what I am talking about.

I think cross-dressing is fine in practical cases or otherwise.

I can totally relate on the pockets! As we speak, I'm wearing track-pants that I got from the men's section of a store, because I couldn't find any in the women's section, and the other women's exercise pants I did find had no pockets at all. Maybe the companies figure women will have purses for their stuff, and that's why they skimp on pockets. I don't know.

Men's t-shirts also seem to last longer, and can be cheaper than women's, so I've been known to buy and wear those as well.

I personally do not have issue with men wearing womens clothing and women wearing mens clothing. People put too much emphasis on what people wear, it is so unnecessary. As long as the right bits are covered up there is no reason to fuss over it.

I have bought mens jackets and mens shoes because I could not find what I wanted in the womens section.

I guess I'm in the minority here, because I do NOT like big pockets, as they can tend to create unflattering bulk on the hips.

The pockets in my men's pants don't tend to bulge unless I put something in them, but I know they fit different so I don't know about women's pants (because I've never had a pair of women's pants with pockets deeper than 2", lol).

See this is another huge reason I do not like women's clothing. I don't like "unnecessary" things, and women's clothes always have weird ruffles, ties, buttons, sequins, and a ton of other stuff I can't ever find simple clothing that doesn't have some sort of "flare" on it. I even consider a hemline that dips up and down from front to back as flare, so it's hard for me to shop in the women's section.

Guess jeans aren't very fancy. You can find some without even a flashy emblem on them even. Not really my preferred though. I really like all the sparkles on some of them (like Miss Me jeans).

While men don't get as much flak for wearing womens clothing, we also do have it easier in that our clothing actually makes sense. I'm pretty sure that even my smallest shorts have more pocket space than the standard woman's entire outfit.

That said, it would be nice to be able to wear a skirt on some hot days when I need to do outdoor work.

Don't get a Ultilikilt. They look silly. Wear a Roman Tunica. The Romans actually thought that pants looked effeminate for awhile after contact with Northern barbarians alerted them to the existence of such an article of clothing.
