• The General Mental Health Forum is now a Read Only Forum. As we had two large areas making it difficult for many to find, we decided to combine the Mental Health & the Recovery sections of the forum into Mental Health & Recovery as a whole. Physical Health still remains as it's own area within the entire Recovery area.

If you are having struggles, need support in a particular area that you aren't finding a specific recovery area forum, you may find the General Struggles forum a great place to post. Any any that is related to emotions, self-esteem, insomnia, anger, relationship dynamics due to mental health and recovery and other issues that don't fit better in another forum would be examples of topics that might go there.

If you have spiritual issues related to a mental health and recovery issue, please use the Recovery Related Spiritual Advice forum. This forum is designed to be like Christian Advice, only for recovery type of issues. Recovery being like a family in many ways, allows us to support one another together. May you be blessed today and each day.

:)

I don't really fancy turning my blog into the CD blog so I thought I would come here and create log for symptoms etc.

Had a colonoscopy yesterday.

I feel that the Picolax bowel prep caused some internal damage.

During the time I was emptying my bowels due to the Picolax, at one point I passed out what seemed to contain more blood than bowel fluids.

The results of the colonoscopy was bad.

:prayer:s for you
Thank you.

Today was much better, still had the crushing abdominal pain in the morning though. In fact, missed church and a baby birthday party because I was in so much pain. In the end I caved in and took some painkillers, which the doctors told me not to take :(

Also, Jordan Rubin, the author of The Maker's Diet, and the Great Physician's RX, had Crohn's. He menioned how he healed it, in the Great Physician's RX.

I have Crohn's Disease. I have survived the early attempts to treat it from 34 years ago and have helped others move on in Life.

There are no magic cures, all inclusive instant remedies, I was given it for a reason and I frankly am glad of it.

I do not suffer now, I did for more years than most, I lived for years not months in hospitals.

The consequences of surgeries are all I have to deal with really and I am healthier than most. I thank Crohn's and G-d for that, but

I would not wish it on my worst enemy.

I do know you if you have Crohns, I know you all too well and frankly I am sympathetic to you.

Your Journey to health will have friends along the way but this disease is as emotional, physical and spiritual as they come and you will deal with it alone.

Yes, alone, I hope you are "saved" it will help.

I have had Crhons since I was 15 years old and i am 24 years old now. I have had one surgery and now I am on remicade. It has caused me to develop OCD and panic and anxiety disorder due to the pain I was in and nerve damage. I have lost a lot of feeling of life but I am slowly building it back. I want people to know that you can fight the darkness with the lord on your side. He is the only reason that I am here now. I love you God for everything that you have blessed me with. He has given me so much and I have given back so little and I want to change that. If anyone wants to talk about this disease you are welcomed to contact me.

Hello Gardener101,

I have had Crohns since I was 13, I'm now 24 as of last week.

I've never had a problem with picolax however I have had problems with blood when I've had nothing in my stomach which is the idea of picolax.

I've been drug free for a while now, I've been healthier without drugs, infact drugs made me worse and worse.

I've got through with perseverance in the hard times, a positive attitude, this can include prayer if you feel it helps, goal setting(ie, you have to be healthy to achieve your goal) and a Christian website to keep me occupied. biblesnippets.com

Please feel free to contact me if you want any questions answered.

I've had:

numerous ops(including hemi collectomy and small bowel resection)
colonostomy
endoscopy
cameras
drips
blood tests
ct's
xrays
ultra sounds

and more that I can't even remember!
