No. Creation saw many lifeforms at once. In no way is there evidence for one first lifeform from which all came.

No. Based on God's proven word.

I don't think all life came from one lifeform, I am just saying that there was a first one. Even if many were created at once, that would just mean there was a tie for first.

if it were proven, everyone would be Christian.

So you are saying that one form of life whether there were many or just one was created?

I think the birds and fish were first. It would have been a bird or fish I guess. They were all made the same day though so you may be nitpicking for nothing.

I'm not even saying one form of life, I am just saying that life had a start, no more, no less.

Definitely not birds.

I vote that it was a sparrow. The fossil record is useless to determine that anyhow since the animals would not leave remains back then presumably. Yes I like the ring to that one..a sparrow!

Interesting choice, I would have expected something like a dove. Symbolism and whatnot.

Could be. But I was thinking of how Jesus mentioned the sparrow and how the Father knows when each one falls:)

A dove is one of the birds that Noah sent out, and was the one that returned.
Yes. It is a close race here. I don't recall Jesus mentioning a dove though. He did speak of the sparrow fondly. After all He is the creator.

Doves are a monogamous animal though, which is rare, and are often symbols of peace, love, etc. I also see them used to represent the Holy Spirit sometimes, I have no idea why exactly, but I do see that.

Since a dove is a kind it was there that day. So I guess we can't really know. I still go with sparrow though:)

John the Baptist saw the spirit "like" a dove descending on Jesus. I think that may be why. (that just means coming down a ceratin way, not looking like a bird)

Oh, so I see, some people read it as dove-like movement and others might read it as dove-like appearance.

Can we both agree that it wasn't a robin though? -_- dumb birds, I wonder how there are more every year to fly into my windows, so many perish. (an attempt at humor)

Right. Fraom what I hear the dove like appearance folks are amateurs.

I could live with that.

I figure they made the buildings too high. (or windows too shiny..etc) The birds are Ok.

If that were the case, the native blue jays and cardinals would also be breaking their necks on my windows. Nope, only robins.

Well, if they are dumb and suicidal maybe they weren't the first creation:)

I think we've reached an impasse. You appear satisfied with how you think DNA repair mechanisms may have originated, and I'm not. I've enjoyed our discussion but I don't know where to go from here.

To state it more correctly, the scientists who study this are satisfied. And since they know more about it than me, I'm inclined to go with their judgement. Why don't you?
