When you can show me the tape of God saying that is the way it happened I might believe Genesis is not allegory. Until then you are speaking not from knowledge but from wishful thinking. Period. End of message.

So you don't accept the testimony of Jesus? On what do you base your claim to Christianity? Wishful thinking?

Are you serious? I was asking an honest question? If one doesn't believe the Word of the Head of Christianity the God/Man Jesus Christ who purchased that salvation, and called the disciples to "follow ME" on what basis can one say they are a believer if they don't believe the One in whom they are to believe.

Acts says, "The believers were called Christians first at Antioch." not the unbelievers.

I request that a Moderator submit a ruling as to whether or not this violates Forum rules.

 That Rule doesn't count in the case of non-Christians; and you are not a Christian thus you can be neither be a good or bad Christian. So, how does Rule affect you for you obviously and by your own public display in the use of the "?" Question Mark icon beneath your name admit to not being a Christian but, instead, are an avowed agnostic and therefore unable to claim any 1.4 and 1.5 violations against you as a Christian?

Although, just in case you are referring to:

A most unusual statement to come from a Christian and to which I asked the question:

what are you protesting? Christianity?

and to which Dmckay, also, asked the question:

Questions being asked, yes, and they are in accordance with the Scriptures. Accusations regarding his Christian state: none.

Genesis and Revelation compliment each other and, yes, there are many allegorical figures of speech in John's Revelation and, yes, there may well be some allegory in some of Genesis but, imo, not in the way you would like it to be.

What raised my rankles, aside from the allegorial remark, was the indication and thus admission on your part that knowledge must supercede the central core of the concept of faith when you retorted:

Until then you are speaking not from knowledge but from wishful thinking.

And, yes, to the astute that is a very telling remark of both one's spiritual state as well as maturity. Indeed, it even questions one's very spiritual existence; not by those asking the questions, but as an admission contained in the writer's very words.
