Oh boy. I just actually downloaded and listened to one of Hovind's radio shows (gimme a break, I'm really bored at work). What a tragic thing it is. The one that I listened to started off with Hovind telling a few blatant lies before he read some letters from his listeners. All of these letters praised him, his 'ministry' and his 'educational' material. I am terribly saddened that there are so many ignorant people in the world.

Josh-Kent Hovind is not a scientist, not a Dr. in any respect, and the way he lies to people I could not even call him a Christian. He does not have a degree in ANY science; infact he does not have a real degree. He bought his degree from a degree mill. What exactly is it that you admire about this man-Is it simply that he tells you what you want to hear? His ideas are not founded in any true science.

Ive been listening to the one I downloaded, and I have to say, listening to it is very entertaining. To take a shorter amount of time, I often listen to it on fast forward, which turns Hovind into a chipmunk. Very entertaining indeed.

What makes you think sound-biting science for public consumption lends any legitimacy whatsoever? Science can't be easily summarized. That's why people who wish to do science have to go to school, rather than watch PBS and the Discovery Channel.

Kent Hovind refuses to debate. Unless you count his suckers bet $250,000,000,000,000,000.00 "challenge." The evidence of Hovind's cowardice is all over the web. I think it ought to be pointed out that "evos" aren't the only one who know this guy is a fraud. Many creationists and creationist groups consider him an embarassment. The ones that haven't lost their self respect, that is.

Apparently Josh1 didn't learn from the first time around where he advocated Hovind while admitting that the scientific refutations of Hovind's claims that he pasted were "over [his] head" and that he would leave the scientific discussions to the oral debates by Hovind rather than actually discussing why Hovind's claims were wrong. Hovind's reputation, lack of science degree, propensity for lying/making false claims, refusal to engage in written debates, refusal to try to publish his claims in the scientific literature, willingness to engage in oral debates with audiences stacked with uneducated people (thus "preaching to the choir" effectively), and desire to only engage in oral debates because of his ability to sway the audience by emotion rather than science were all previously discussed, and apparently ignored, by Josh1.
