You are using the word "opinion" in a very odd way too. Do you think there is a possibility that your opinions are incorrect? If not, how do you determine that your opinions are equivalent with objective truths?
God's words are what matters. If our opinions stray from that they are opinions of little worth.

Hi dad

I thought evolution was responsible for the diversification of life after Noah's flood.

So evolution per se can't be a godless lie, can it?
If one uses the word only in that context...of change after being created by God, then it is obviously not godless. Howver that is not the usual use of the word by science books, documentaries, news stories, educators and etc etc.

The earth will not be ended or removed in other words by anything or anyone, but is under the control of God. That does not mean the earth will not 'move' physically of course.

I agree. However many people have (and still do) interpret that verse to mean that the earth never physically moves. That was one of the objections brought up against Galileo and the heliocentric theory of the solar system.

They were just as convinced that they were right as you are about all of the claims you're advancing.

Strathos, do you really feel God should be held accountable for what scientists teach today? or their interpretation of the Bible?

I mean ... really?

That is not or never what scientists taught, or what God taught.

It's what certain people who were so invested in their dogmatic, peculiar interpretation of scripture taught.

You are not playing the odds, you are sealing your fate.

When the innocent get punished alongside the guilty, when a forbidden marriage curses a family for ten generations, and when an entire nation can be targeted by divine wrath for the actions of a few (or even a single) person, fates are already sealed regardless of one's actions.

We've been telling you that for years.

Maybe you should look around here on CF a little more.

Educated smart cookies here regularly claim the Bible talks about the Earth being unmoveable in space.

Is the Kennedy curse a prime example?

That's because they are repeating what Christians used to say. They didn't invent those erroneous interpretations themselves.

I don't believe that one tiny bit.

Study history then. It's undeniable that the church supported a Potelamaic system because it agreed with their understanding of scripture, up until around 500 years ago.

Why blame that on 'the church'?

Weren't priests and scientists basically one and the same back then?

Of course, not all priests were scientists, but most of them?
