They may both be correct. However, CreationISM is a falsified theory, whereas evolution is supported by myriad evidence.GundamX said:I want to know if Creation or Evolution is correct, its been a tuf thing to understand for me, so which is correct?
I C, so Evolution is more likely right?Ishmael Borg said:They may both be correct. However, CreationISM is a falsified theory, whereas evolution is supported by myriad evidence.
thank you, and who won?none said:Bausen verses Stien , The Great Debate
There are universal laws that cannot be ignored. Such as the laws of logic. GOD Leaves nothing undone or without purpose. Seek and you will find ask and you shall recieve. I once had the Great Debate on tape. But it was lost in a shuffle of things. If you can find this debate it will help in your search for your answer. Not sure if the names are spelled correctly. Bausen is a Christian and has Doctors degrees in Phylosophy and Stien is an Athiest. Good luck in your search. I hope you find what you are looking for. I am a Christian.

More likely than CreationISM? Vastly. If you're really interested in the facts about this debate, here's a great start:GundamX said:I C, so Evolution is more likely right?
It depends on what day of the week you ask...GundamX said:I C, so Evolution is more likely right?

Today they believe Evolution.
Tomorrow? WHO knows what they will believe....
so the answer would be some kind of Crevolution or something?!Freodin said:Creation is something you have to take on faith. The basic Christian position on Creation is "God did it" - and as God is not subject to our tests (for whatever reasons), there is no way beyond faith to "know".
Creationism - the various theories of how God did it (in 6 days, 6000 years ago, instantly, seperate species...) - these ARE subject to out tests. They got tested, and failed the tests.
Evolution is the curretly most valid theory of how life on Earth became what it is today - including humans. It has withstood the testing. Not that the scientific theory of Evolution does not make any statements about God - neither positive nor negative.
where would that be?Ishmael Borg said:GundamX:
If you really want to learn about these things, this forum may not be the best place to start. You'll have to wade through too much emotional garbage and expose yourself to too many brain-washing agendas to get the real story here.
Seek science from honest scientists and theology from honest theologians, then make up your own mind.
Decide for yourself. First find out what evolution is. I suggest Ernst Mayr's book titled, oddly enough, "What Evolution Is". It is not unusual for some creationists to misrepresent how evolution is defined, and what evidence exists for it. Follow some threads in forums like this one. Familiarize yourself with arguments made by both sides.GundamX said:I C, so Evolution is more likely right?

I gave you the link to Talk Origins. That site presents the theory of evolution from the perspective of mainstream science, but it provides links to a number of creationist sites as well. I found Christian Forums, though indirectly, as a result of a search for answers that started there.GundamX said:the good plaCE to get answers

Follow the links in the threads and read them. I recommend http://www.talkorigins.org/. (The site is down at this moment But should be up soon.) Pay particular attention to the frequently asked questions (FAQs).
Learn to distinguish between different schools of creationism, from the boneheads espousing young Earth creationism, to the intellectually respectable evolutionary creationists. Since creationists base their claims on differing religious doctrines there are very many belief systems.
Be aware that young Earth creationists base their beliefs on their interpretation of scriptures and not on scientific evidence. They rail against evolution, but actually have to discount not only biology, but also geology and astronomy, and any other science that contradicts their various sectarian doctrines.
Ask questions in the forums. Talk to your teachers about what you read and find out. Decide for yourself, but never decide on final truth. Keep reading and keep asking.
If you follow this advice, you will I assure you, find yourself on a lifelong journey of wonderful discoveries.![]()
