I've been hearing a lot as of late the theory that all creation must have a creator. I think all it does is that it proves that something created the universe, not who created the universe.

I'm just trying to play connect the dots to some extent.

On your title:

Creation = Creator = Christian God

Truth of matter is:

Creation made by Creator who is God.

There is only one God.

In Genesis God says He created everything there is.

I think that would be place to go.

blessings,

Heyas AllworthThunder,

I don't think that the dots join together in that way. I think basically that creation testifies to a creator. It doesn't testify to God however, by God I mean the Christian God of course. The reason I think it was God, is because we have the Bible and the Bible talks about many things which we know are true, and it also tells us that some answers will remain out of reach for us but that we are to have faith. In conjuction these two things lead us to believing that something we find to be impossible or improbably may in actual fact be true, and we hope and have faith that it is. Just as in our physical world, facts and theories change regularly, there is no reason to base our belief in God on something that may very well end up changing. As I told another poster, these things are the branches of our faith, not the roots. If something pops up that appears at first to invalidate scripture, we have faith and remain steadfast in our belief.

Cheers!

Think back before Christianity, and back before Judaism. Back before we had a name for God (which is a generic term anyway). The Hebrews called Him hwhy-- The Existing One, the name which could not be spoken.

Before He could not be named, He was there.

That means that cavemen who knew of Him had no name for Him, no religion to refer to, no scholars to ask information of. He just was.

Think now about the Christian God, and what we have turned Him into. He always was, without us, without our names, without our churches.

"I am."

Yahweh.
