Hitler came to power for reasons primarily driven by economics, too. He turned a busted-down has-been bankrupt country into an economic power and contender on the world stage. By the time the Weimar Republic closed up shop, the German people had the same sense of persecution that some Southerners had.

So why not crusade for National Socialism then? (Oh, I know...in your case, it has the word "socialism" in it. Yes, that would scare you off.) The Holocaust...well, that was just an unfortunate footnote, a tragic misunderstanding. Right? Seems like Nazism would almost be right up your alley--big, strong government, no tolerance for dissent. Most of the people the Nazis gassed were the same groups you want to do away with. What's the harm?

Perhaps the clearest and the most concrete passage in the New Testament that points out that the punishment system of the Mosaic Covenant is DEFINETILY, ABSOLUTELY NOT VALID after 33 AD is..


1 Cor 6:9-11 (KJV):


Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters
, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind, Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God. And such were some of you: but ye are washed, but ye are sanctified, but ye are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God.



(In the Epistle of ShieldOFaith this passage would be twisted as follows: "And such were some of you: and ye shall be punished with death, ye shall be not be washed with the blood of Lord Jesus, ye can never be sanctified, Jesus never died on the cross for your sins, you wicked Corinthians (or San-Fransiscans), forget the whole thing, meet yer maker!")

Ah, but don't stop there, Shield -- it involved a lot more than capital punishment, but every legislative action the government takes, including the ones you may personally agree with.

So, when Roe v. Wade was ajudicated, God was watching -- and He approved. When the state of Massachusetts allowed Gay marriage, they did so with God's blessing, etc.

Capital Punishment isn't the only thing God allows His governments to do -- He'd be a pretty twisted God if it was.

So you're saying that if Apostle Paul had had his real, complete, godly will fulfilled in Corinth, if only the city of Corinth had had a "Godly government" - in the "CSA fashion" - that had had the right to implement the death sentece as prescribed in the Levitical Laws, in that case Paul and the Church of Corinth would have gladly given all these ex-gay, ex-fornicator, ex-idolatrer and ex-prostitute followers of Jesus to that "Godly" government to be stoned to death, believing that to be the will of Christ?
