The stuff I bolded is what your religion needs.....



Deity: The 5th force AKA TFF The TFF (which is pronounced Teef) is the counter to gravity which pushes everything outward and started the Big Bang.
Spiritual Leader: Kahalachan with whom the TFF communicated with
Morals: TFF commands that we expand our horizons as well. Science is what the TFF delights in and wants to see us leave the earth's gravity and colonize other planets
Afterlife: TFF says that once we die we float as far away from the universe as possible. It's like when you're half awake and know you're asleep but not quite awake.
Story: TFF started the Big Bang cause TFF is everything that isn't being occupied by space. TFF is therefore infinite and wants to feel everything.
Creation Story: There is a bunch of matter in every possible point in the universe. Because a point has zero dimensions we can't see it. TFF can. TFF chose a point to expand all the matter in the Big Bang and let it go. There are probably other universes that the TFF allowed to expand many many many light years away that we can explore after we die and float around.

I think many people today have their own "self styled" religion and that's it in vogue to do this...but in a way I think that a self -styled religion can't go much further than yourself.

It may even "feel good" to do this in the beginning... as you can decide what laws and commandments to follow and you can always decide later to make allowances for yourself or "cut yourself some slack".

If something is inconvenient or a little too demanding given the circumstances you can always change it.

I knew a woman who started her own church so she could file for tax relief and exclude some of her assets from taxation. But in the long haul I somehow doubt she will really get much "relief".

I don't so much want to form my own religion, as my own heresy:

Pro-life Hedonist Circumcellionism:

The Circumcellions went about beating people with sticks (called "Israelites") while shouting "Praise the Lord!", trying to get the victims to "martyr" thier attackers.

I don't mean "Pro-Life" so much in the sense of "Anti-Abortion," but removing the suicide aspect of "Noone's going to martyr me!"

So, Pro-Life Hedonist Circumcellionism: Eat, drink, be merry, go about beating people with "Israelites," shouting "Praise the Lord!" and go home if noone kills you.

It's interesting how most cultures deify aspects of nature (like the Sun and Moon for example).

If I could create a religion, it seems obvious that the Sun would be one of the gods, because it is the main energy source that drives our world. I'd probably give it a funky name like that Hawaiin fish, Humu-humu-nuku-nuku-apu-a-a.

And to give it my proper thanks, I'd have to wake up at sunrise to greet it and say goodbye at sunset. So my religion would dictate that I have two prayers everyday.
