• Starting today August 7th, 2024, in order to post in the Married Couples, Courting Couples, or Singles forums, you will not be allowed to post if you have your Marital status designated as private. Announcements will be made in the respective forums as well but please note that if yours is currently listed as Private, you will need to submit a ticket in the Support Area to have yours changed.

  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

That is why why so many people are won for God in Africa. They see that the power of God is greater than the power of satan. All we do is give a witness and a testimony as to what God is doing.

JohnR7,
I note you're still on this thread. Could you respond to my comments on the source of your beliefs on Genesis?

The source of my beliefs? I am just lead by the Holy Spirit of God in my understanding of the Bible.

2 Cor. 3:6 Who also hath made us able ministers of the new testament; not of the letter, but of the spirit: for the letter killeth, but the spirit giveth life.

It is though the Holy Spirit of God, that we have life. If we are not lead by the Spirit, then we do not have the life of God in us. Only those who are lead by the Holy Ghost are children of God.

Micaiah:

It seems to me the thing that gets under your skin is that you think that basically you are a decent enough bloke, yet some people (Christians) still say you will go to hell if you don't follow the beliefs they follow.

The only Christians that get under my skin are the YEC they make me want to :bang head into wall:

Do you really believe that there is no chance at all that this world is only thousands of years old? Most of the dating methoids are based on making some sort of assumption.

What makes you so sure that this old world is millions or even billions of years old?

BTW, you seemed to be quick with providing the links. Is this something you have learned to cope with?

Sleep paralysis? No, I think I've had it happen once or twice (I can remember waking up and not being able to move, but I didn't get any of the fear/hallucinogenic side effects).

The reason I know about it, though, is your not the first person I've seen describe symptoms like that and chock it up to a supernatural/demonic experience.

Personally, I find it fascinating that such a thing occurs, and that so many people have different reactions to it (from alien abductions to ghosts, demons, etc). The mind sure does a lot of weird things...

No, Christians do not believe in evolution. You cannot believe in the bible and evolution... evolutionists also believe in the big bang theory, which states that the earth and the solar system was created by a sudden combustion... While christians, on the other hand, believe that God made the earth, and yada yada yada... :)

lol.. you will have to take that up with a lot of Christians who claim to accept evolution - do you think they are lying, or do you think you know their hearts better than they do themselves??
