anyone seen Orguss02? .....

I see why it would not make sense. You really need to see the original Orguss series to know that this one was created as a sequel and fills in a few holes left in the original series. It was called Super Dimension Century Orguss and was supposed to target fans of Macross (Super Dimension Fortress Macross).

They only released 17 of 35 episodes dubbed in English. I obtained the rest from someone who taped it off of Japanese TV – no subs. I followed the story using their summery while watching it on the screen, a bit tough but worth it.

I like Orguss 02 and to really get into it you kinda need to know a little history:

It is the future, and a war is going on. One side explodes the Space/Time Oscillation Bomb. The explosion causes many different times and several different dimensions to merge together as one Earth.

Into this new Earth is thrust Kei Katsuragi, the young Lt. who actually set the Bomb off. It turns out that Kei is the key to the future of the new Earth, and perhaps his own.

Kei travels with a mostly female band of merchants from the race of the Eaamon [humans, more or less, with antennae]. He falls in love with Mimsy. Their child is the one in Orguss 02 which is why she had the antennae.

The General (the robot) trys to explain this a little in Orguss 02 but it really only makes sense if you’ve seen the original.

I'd say the two strangest I've seen are Evangelion (Strange and disturbing on multiple levels) and Magical Shopping Arcade Abenobshi (strange and funny).

I'ts a parody (there have been a lot of hose recently, haven't there?) on many anime and even some American movies. It's probably inappropriate for children under seventeen (as the rating states) but mature audiences will probably enjoy the series.

Warning! Episode one is just setting up the story, and episode three is the most bizarre episode in the series (of the first 10 eps, I don't know about the last 3). Episodes two and four better reflect the series as a whole.

Oh yah, and there is Memories. Contains three short stories: Magnetic Rose, Stink Bomb and Cannon fodder. If your looking for something good but strange here you go!

Thanks about the orguss thing, never got the chance to watch the first ones, I'll find em someday!

Oh, two crazy films...armageddon, and Alien of/from Darkness (bought this in all innocence...it's on the verge of hentai, tentacles, but the most you ever see is a bit of nudity, no screaming or actions or anything, which I was thankful for! Thought that was crazy!!!)
