  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Hey, some friends and I are going 'Outback' for a week after christmas to help out in an Aboriginal community. We run a Kids Club for kids 3 - 12. Has anyone got ideas that would be suitable for those types of age groups?
Smile and God Bless,

I'm not sure if this will help but you could do sand art. Prep work is involved but it is a fun and easy craft. You can always buy kits but that is EXPENSIVE. Then you could always DIY.

You can color sand using dye or food coloring ( make different colors by mixing sand into dye or my favorite food coloring) Let the sand soak for an hour or so and then use an old cloth to drain the sand and let dry.

Containers for sand art can be any clear bottle or jug with a lid. Old honey containers, jelly jars, plastic soda bottles, ect.

This craft is good for any number of age groups.
Hope this helps and hope you all have a wonderful time!
