I have seen it, but never played it. I know I couldn't get into that game, with games like Rainbow Six 3, and Ghost Recon (xbox here)

CS is a war game and nothing for a decent christian as me hehe

LOL yeah I was on 1 night as we were all trying to figure out if this really rude voice on the mic was a girl or a boy.

It was like 1am, and it turned out to be a 10 year old. So then we are all like "Go to bed little boy, Mummy is calling you."

He eventually got the point and left.

I can't beleive parents dont monitor thier kids online though. No I'm not on a rant about the violent content, but online you get the swearing and porn spray tags all over the place as well (especially late at night).

Still, lets see how much control I have over my own kids where they are 10 before I continue my rant

Steam has kind of killed CS in my area

It seems more stable now but I think lots of people got turned off by the beta versions (I know I did).

Also I think the hords of Dialup players in West Australia now have to face the fact that they simply cant play CS on dialup anymore.

I still like CS..... but I hope they do a totaly new version based on HL2.
I still DONT like steam... but I'm stuck with it, and thats all Valve seem to care about. Oh well.

All just MHO of course. Not after a debate

CS is one of the best FPS games for the computer, only second in my opinion to HALO.

CS is the number 1 online played game. I used to play that game so much. I have since given up on it.

I used to play CS all the time. I was in a few clans, about 3 or 4. I stopped playing for a while because of the community, it's hard to get into a game without seeing someone hacking or being accused of hacking, even if you're not. And also, you can't play for 2 seconds without being called a "n00b" or something similar. But the game was just so fun, I think I might play it again soon, just to give it another try.

I couldn't agree more. When I fisrt started playing I just couldn't believe how rude everyone was. No trying to help you... just calling you a n00b or blocker or worse all the time. "Team spirit"? I think not.

But once you get past that I find the few good players (not just good in skill but good in attitude) it really is excellent fun and a great team game.
