  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Whew I hope somebody is reading this
You can tell how many people are reading by looking at the numbers on the right, when you list the threads.

Your question (?) is unclear. If you intend to upload the whole book of Genesis, then you have misnamed your thread.

If you have a question regarding translation, you should state it first, so that people know what you are trying to do, or what part of the translation you are questioning.

By giving alternate renderings for every word in Genesis, no one will know what 'translational error' you are talking about.

Just get to the point man!

Peace, from
Nazaroo

im lost. I was trying to soly find any errors in the bible. it just doesnt have the same effect as it would if I knew the original language(at least thats what I think)

Obviously, the method you are using is tedious, and it isn't working.

Try asking some pointed questions about a specific verse or passage, or if you are just looking for 'errors' generally, get a commentary on a part of the bible and see what the difficult and controversial parts are.

Or ask someone like me. I could probably save you years of wandering.

Peace,
Nazaroo

Ok, where are you lost? Try to choose a consistent direction. If you are in a maze, and there is a way out from where you are, then consistently turning left or consistently turning right will eventually lead you to the exit. Please provide further information, if you want us to guide you out.

Think that a far more fruitful endeavor would be to search for TRUTH.... There is way more truth than error in the Scriptures.

The original Scriptures in the original languages are inerrant, but the translated Scriptures have to deal with the language barrier, time barrier and culture barrier. These all affect the wording, and understanding the full meaning of Scripture is helped by knowing Greek. But, it is not absolutely necessary. Looking at several versions helps, along with prayer and guidance from church leaders. English is a very different language from Hebrew, Aramaic and Greek.
