  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Hi,

Tonight, I tried to take a picture of my dog for fun.

The result was a little creepy. I'm a poor photographer, and I couldn't keep the camera still, so the picture came out extremely blurry.

However, there's something strange - it's like my dog is see-through. Through his blurry figure you can see the lines in our wooden floor.

I'm sure there's some explanation for this, I just found it weird.

It is because of a slow shutter speed. Cameras do not take pictures instantly, and with a slower shutter speed it is recording the scene longer. Your dog was there for most of the exposure, but then must have run off, leaving the picture still taking and so it caught some of what is behind them. We had to do a project like this once. ;) You can do some pretty cool things with slow shutter speed in the night.

If you want a real picture of your dog, you will need a lot more lighting, a flash might be a good idea or take it during the day outside
