Could a demon in physical form attack a Christian?

What about people who don't choose the Lord?

Then they are completely open to attack if such a thing were possible (a demon in physical form attacking someone. i've never heard of such a thing, though)

They are also not attacked by demons, which suggests that either demons never attack people. I for example, have never been attacked by a demon.

I doubt such a thing would happen. I've never heard of a demon physically appearing a beating the life out of someone.

Zombie, yes, but not demons...curse those zombies, for they are hard to kill.

Well, it depends on the weapon, my friend. ;)

Your reply had nothing at all to do with the question that I asked. Quite simply, you missed the point. Instead you write judgemental, self-righteous sentences talking about ignorance and that I am choosing a dark path of death by asking a question about demons? When you have an answer having ANYTHING at all to do w/ the question that I asked let me know. When I was younger one of my favorite series to check out at my Christian elementary school library was called Forbidden Doors. They are by a best-selling Christian author named Bill Myers. The series is all about Christian teens fighting in spiritual warfare against demons. You see the the dark road is not asking a question about demons itself but the actual PRACTICE of witchcraft, sorcery etc. God bless.
Correct. This reminds me of a quite by Crowley.

Hello NarrowPath.

I was researching demons on google as it came to mind one again and I found this topic - I think it's interesting what you are asking. I often thought the same. I am also a Christian, but for some reason God lets me see demons in people sometimes -- just a quick note at this point, i am replying to NarrowPath just now, and if you don't believe me, please don't post flames about what I am saying here -- I have seen a "demon" that looks something like an "alien" outwith another person though, and it was staring at me through the window.

The reason for me seeing all that demonic stuff when I did though, i believe, is because i actively opened a portal for it. To start with, i was a Christian - i was open and aware of the spiritual side of things in life. But then, i made an active choice to get into witchcraft. During that time i saw a lot of untoward things, and had scary experiences. But never did I get attacked by any demon.

I have seen one demon in different people - the most obvious point always seen through the eyes. A saw an old woman, but her whole eyeballs were completely black, my friends couldnt see it though, as i was trying to point it out without totally freaking out!!

I have always thought that you cannot be possessed as a Christian, because you already have the Holy Spirit in you. You're "possessed" already by the Holy Spirit!!
I DO believe, though, you can make a choice to go against everything God says and go the opposite way and end up getting possessed though. Spiritual openings are spiritual openings, thats why i will never ever play tarrot or ouija boards.

I am digressing a bit now. But i hope you get back to me about this and let me know what you think. :) Thanks.

I just finished watching Jeepers Creepers 2 and it got me thinking. In the movie it is a demon killing people. I've always been taught that as a Christian that the demons have no power over us. But does that mean if they were in physical form also? It's believed that demons came and had sex w/ women in the old testament thus creating giant offspring. That would make u think that they had to be in physical form to mate with women. Because a spiritual being could not have sex w/ a physical being in theory. Also I have had a run in or two w/ a demon possessed person myself personally in the past. Is a demon possessed person 'unable' to even physically touch a Christian? Yes? because they are a physical human in a little 'control' of themselves or no because they are controlled by a demonic force?

It is possible for a demon-possessed human to attack a Christian. But as far as the demon itself, no. It is because of the Holy Spirit, I think. You never really hear of Christians (true Christians) reporting that they have seen ghosts, or that they go chasing after ghosts, or being affected in some haunted house, or whatever. And yes, I'm implying "ghosts" are really just familiar spirits, or demons that look like real people. However, they can affect those who are not Christian, even hurting them without possessing them.

Do i detect a hint of sarcasm or ridicule?
Well I'm just saying that if something with horns and wings comes crawling through your window in the dead of night it's liable to get shot in the face.
If that doesn't work then so long as you obey the standard movie rules (don't go off alone, don't go to investigate the noise etc) you *should* be fine.

We're just not as superstitious as we used to be.

LOL, that's true. We aren't as superstitious mainly because we understand more about science and the laws of the universe. But taht doesn't mean science is a be all end all. But that's for another discussion. Anyone have a counter-point for me so I can argue some more?
I have: demons do not exist.

Why are we talking about demons? Leprechauns are the real danger!

I just finished watching Leorechaun 2 and it got me thinking. In the movie it is a leprechaun killing people. I've always been taught that as a Christian that the leprechauns have no power over us. But does that mean if they were in physical form also? It's believed that leprechauns will give you a pot-o-gold. That would make u think that they had to be in physical form to have gold. Because a spiritual being could not have material wealth in theory. Also I have had a run in or two w/ a leprechaun-influenced person myself personally in the past. Is a leprechaun-influenced person 'unable' to even physically touch a Christian? Yes? because they are a physical human in a little 'control' of themselves or no because they are controlled by a leprechaunic force?

The question is that if a Demon possessed a person and was going to use that body to attack you, if you shot the demon possessed person with a gun would a demon have the power to somehow heal its human body (since i do know demons have some power) or would it flee the body that you shot.

No. It would flee. The human would die. If it was fatal, anyway. It's not like Hollywood movies, where they regenerate.

Do you believe in ghosts, by any chance? I doubt you do. Besides, ghosts don't exist, anyway. Besides, you cannot just dismiss demons. That quote is, in effect, worthless in this discussion. Besides, the question is not whether demons exist. Read the topic, please.
