I just finished watching Jeepers Creepers 2 and it got me thinking. In the movie it is a demon killing people. I've always been taught that as a Christian that the demons have no power over us. But does that mean if they were in physical form also? It's believed that demons came and had sex w/ women in the old testament thus creating giant offspring. That would make u think that they had to be in physical form to mate with women. Because a spiritual being could not have sex w/ a physical being in theory. Also I have had a run in or two w/ a demon possessed person myself personally in the past. Is a demon possessed person 'unable' to even physically touch a Christian? Yes? because they are a physical human in a little 'control' of themselves or no because they are controlled by a demonic force?

Your reply had nothing at all to do with the question that I asked. Quite simply, you missed the point. Instead you write judgemental, self-righteous sentences talking about ignorance and that I am choosing a dark path of death by asking a question about demons? When you have an answer having ANYTHING at all to do w/ the question that I asked let me know. When I was younger one of my favorite series to check out at my Christian elementary school library was called Forbidden Doors. They are by a best-selling Christian author named Bill Myers. The series is all about Christian teens fighting in spiritual warfare against demons. You see the the dark road is not asking a question about demons itself but the actual PRACTICE of witchcraft, sorcery etc. God bless.

Assuming the existence of demons, and assuming that they could take physical form, then they could hurt you. For example, imagine a demon standing on a sidewalk. He stumbles and bumps into someone. That person drops their coke bottle. It shatters. You are hurrying along, step on a piece of glass and cut your foot. A more direct example - they pick up a gun and shoot you. A daemon would be able to touch a Christian if the Christian was not of sufficient faith to repel the daemon. The Lord has given us the tools to defend ourselves against evil, but some of us do not take up His gift and wield it.

I feel that a daemon-possessed person may or may not be able to touch a Christian, depending on how strong the possession is. I can't really elaborate on this since there is no 'Lucifer scale' for measuring possession or whatever, but the more powerful a daemon was within the man, the more likely that the man would be able to touch a Christian.

That possessed person can then walk up to you and ................

Thereby by believing general Christian things, one would be led to believe that yes it is possible

Ok, I'll take a few guesses

1.& 2. Demon possession, well, I think it is worded as possessed by and unclean spirit or something, is mentioned repeatedly in Luke but hardly at all anywhere else.

The possessed foam at the mouth, throw themselves in the fire, stand with no clothes on and scream, but don't seem to be the sort of imagination stirring threat of modern horror movies.

I don't think there is any Biblical or real evidence for the existence of dangerous demons taking physical form.

3. This may sound silly but almost everyone I've met has at some point by someone been accused of not being a true Christian. Is there anyone who is universally accepted as being a Christian? If so by whom? We can exclude the judgement of those who are not true Christians of course, oops, now we have a circular question.

One definition I was given is that a Christian is someone who accepts Jesus Christ as saviour and Lord. Lord means obeying him, others claim salvation is by faith alone and not by obedience, and that our deeds are as filthy rags, so I don't think there is an agreed definition of Christian.

And that doesn't include questions of whether it is necessary to accept the Athanasian Creed.

I have to dispute the point others have made, that of course a physical entity can harm a physical entity. Well, scientifically that is valid but the promise in Acts about not being hurt by poisons or snakes (and the one who fell out the window and was restored to life) indicates that spiritual protection can work against physical attack.

I'm a demon incarnate. I'll tell you something you don't know about demons. Holiness don't really have any affect on us. We just go into a fit of rage when confronted with crosses and holy water. You see, the holy spirit is an unclean thing to us. It is a virgin spirit whereas the demon is a harlot spirit, hence babylon the great harlot--the harlot spirit is what we strive for. It is a thousand times cleaner than a virgin spirit. You see, the virgin realm has authority over all other realms. Jesus was from the virgin realm, he's not really God, he was just sent by the virgins "to halt the works of Satan."
Satan is the ruler of this world and he is mad that the virgins stepped into his dominion. In the other realms, Satan is known as the infernal Father because the nature of his wisdom is infernal; hence in revelation, it's said, you don't know the depths of Satan as they speak--because of all the wisdom and knowledge Satan has attained. You see, in the virgin realm it is pristine sterility; the virgins go about condemning and crucifying all worlds because to them we are sinners and for some reason we need to be saved. Satan is the only one that stands in their way and they fear him because of all the depths of his knowledge and wisdom. Satan really doesn't have anything to do with sin, he realizes that in a higher form of wisdom, sin is useful to the depths of knowledge, it is just another way to gain understanding.
Sin is the child of wisdom as you heard Jesus say and wisdom always goes to her children, which are sinners.
Therefore, when the holy ghost comes he is to judge the world because the ruler of this world is judged; and he is judged wrongly. You were made to believe by the virgins that Satan is the epitome of evil, which is the epitome of your illusion that you strive for. Satan is not evil, he would never have been made ruler of this world if he was the epitome of evil--that's your own stupidity.
In the virgin realm you are forbidden to want or desire. Trust me when you get into the virgin's heaven you will wish that you were in hell because in the virgin realm you are forbidden to marry, to have a soul mate, a wife or husband; and there's no sex. So by the time you get into heaven, having been born in the spirit of Satan, you will be giving praise to Satan. Trust me, you will, when you realize what the virgins have in plan for you.

Hey Narrowpath777, Googling bout demons prob isnt the best idea. God's Word is terrific though as well as reputable Christian resources. Christians cant be demon-possessed. Only unbelievers can.
