Cosplay Help

OKay, so here's the deal...it's way past my, so called, 'bed time' and I decided to ask you a question that I have been pondering about for quite some time.


I have been thinking about trying to convince my dad into taking me to an anime convention. But of course I have to ya know, dress up ( Unless I chicken out or can't pull of the person I want to pull off.)

The 'person' I want to cosplay is Seras Victoria, AKA the Police Girl from Hellsing :

SO I need your help with how I should go about all of this since I am fairly new to the whole 'Anime Thang'

I'm new to anime, but costume making, that I can do! I'm working on an Uruk Hai outfit myself. Hopefully my gf and I will both be able to go as Uruk and female half-orc to our homeschool group's harvest party.*pray's she can come up*

Ahem. Right. As for the outfit... blue skirt, matching button-down color. Might want to get some more pieces of fabric of same color and material, if possible. If you cannot find one with the pockets(I know they sell shirts of that design, just a bit... bigger, if you know what I mean.), you may need to sew them on with that fabric I suggested. As for the collar... depending on how hot you can stand being, you could find a turtle neck made of airy fabric, cut away as much as you need, and have the neck coming out from under the button-down. Scrunch up the sleeves, get some boots, very dark black stalkings, white gloves... sew on strips of yellow fabric where needed on the uniform... get a black belt, you can easily make the patch and sew it on(or find a friend to help you with that. I know I can't make fake armor as well as a friend of mine, so...)

The cosmetic surgery and somewhat malproportioned figure, I am afraid I can't help you with. Hope that helps some!

should i bring a prop with my costume?
