Some of you know I have worked on a family cookbook for the past year. It finally got completed and shipped yesterday! I am praying it gets here no later than Sat. morning (prefer Fri.). I can deliver them Sat. night & save myself a 200 mile round trip if I can take them with me to the family dinner Sat. night !

Wow, that's great! It's kind of funny that you posted this because my aunt who lives in a different state than me has been doing the exact same thing over the past 2 years.
She was here right after Thanksgiving and surprised all of us with a family cookbook she had made and had printed and gave us all one as our Christmas gift. I thought it was one of the most thoughtful gifts I've ever received.
There are recipes inside that go back to my great-great grandmother, and lots from all the other grandparents, too. Many of whom I never knew.
What a great idea, I'm sure your family will treasure it!

Thanks Heart and Ruth ! They arrived today - Monday - a little late , but we are thrilled with them. We can still give them as Christmas gifts!!
Heart I know you will treasure yours too! That was a great idea of your aunt. Our only included recipes from one grandmother & the rest are from our generation. We are happy with it though. Bless you & Ruth!
