So basically you people[christians/catholic ect] want to imagine that there is all this stuff in which christianity is. You want to imagine that there is an eternal paradise ect. Because thats basically what its like if you cant explain it with science. Is it just a way in which to live your life to get the best? Something you want? So ****ing confusing .

Imagination and knowledge are two different things. I know without a shadow of a doubt that my God lives, that He loves me and wants the best for me. And yes, I want the best. Who wouldn't?

Father, even now, I pray that your will lift the veil of spiritual blindness from Carnal's eyes, and give him clarity of thought. Reveal your truth to him, Lord, and allow your peace to surround him. For Jesus' sake, I ask. Amen.

I dont like it when you say this because you dont know. Im not saying your wrong but you only think you know to make it technical.

Btw ,this kind of sounds offensive but its not meant to be.

No offense taken Carnal, I know where you're coming from. :)

But quite frankly, I am not saying anything I don't believe. I know without a shadow of a doubt that my God lives. He has done some absolutely amazing things in my life that make me believe this. Little and big things that show me He only wants the best for me.

I know He answers prayer because I have my own non-Christian son confirm it for me from hundreds of miles away. He doesn't know what I'm praying, but he tells me what's going on in his life and it absolutely amazes me that not only did God hear my prayer, but He is answering it in ways I never even imagined. He's an awesome God, that only wants the best for you too.

Carnal I said earlier (tho its SO easy to miss in all this) that I don't believe just because I can or what I was taught.

And the whole "science doesn't prove it" thing... does it uphold Satanism? Sorry if that came across as sort of defensist. i don't mean it to be. I'm just curious.

You dont think the miraculous things or w.e that happened to you could have been just chance?

Yes it does, the things stated in the satanic bible and other literature are reasonable and make sense.

I don't believe in chance or coincidence. I believe that God is all knowing and all seeing. I believe that the same God that created and upholds the universe is totally interested in the likes of me, and is working all things in my life out for my good. And like I said, some things are direct answer to prayer!

There is no such thing as chance. There are things that happen for which we do not know the cause but chance, unless it is used by finite beings to calculate mathmatical probability, is actually a non-thing. Nothing has ever come to pass by "chance."

God bless

Ive been researching God/Jesus christ in all of my free time for a LONG time, and found no answers. I thought I was christian for about 10 years in my childhood until I DID research. Thats why I want to see if any of you so called Christians have proof that your god exists or his prophecies have been proven.

For most of us the number that appears next to the name or handle that is being used on this forum reflects the Poster's age. Being as your online profile lists your birthday as May 4, 1990 this appears to be true in your case as well.

You say that you thought you were a Christian for about 10 years before you did some research. Now that poses a problem for me. After 30+ years of ministry even dealing a lot with young children, it has been my experience that very, very few children under the age of 10 have sufficient understanding of abstract thinking to understand Scripture enough to be saved.

Starting with your current age of 14 and working back 10 years would have you saved at age 4. Now this isn't impossible, my son understood, and was saved at 3 1/2 but he has an exceptional understanding of Scripture, and was already reading at age 3.

You state that you thought you were a Christian until you researched it. When, at what age did you research it? What language and history skills and training do you have that allowed you to do such good research that caused you to forsake a belief that you say you held for the majority of your life?

I propose to you that at age fourteen you have neither the skills, clarity of thinking nor the time to have studied this topic enough to make a rational decision. Discussion of a subject with a few biased friends does not constitute research.

If you honestly want to do some research without having to do a lot of study I suggest you go to the library and check out a book entitled Evidence That Demands a Verdict. This book was wwritten by an atheist who wanted to prove how stupid the claims of Christians were. He had the skills, training and the facilities to actually research Christianity. He examines all of the historical claims and presents almost every position with the evidence for each. It will give you a firm basis for making a decision from a rational point of view rather than an emotional one.
