I'm sorry you feel that way. I'm ashamed that people on here don't believe that Jesus can save someone's soul? I don't believe that anyone is ever beyond hope and I believe that is what our Church teaches.

You're completely right, zhilan. I put my heart and soul into praying for apostates, living and dead.

Also, I'm glad you were able to handle this with charity and grace. That is a better witness for Orthodoxy than piles of straw men.

Its not about oil. Its about islamic freaks that want us all dead and they happen to have the means to our economy. If it was up to me...the middle east would have been neutron bombed already.

That's what really annoys me about the US. We get this "white man's burden" thing going on, the US acting as the salvation of the rest of the world. But we only do it if it benefits us. This has happened all throughout US History, and a recent example is the Middle-east. I daresay that Darfur is much more in need of our help than the Middle-east (not saying they DON'T need help), but Darfur doesn't have the oil...

Yeah. That’s why I think we should have just left Saddam in charge. I wasn’t the worst guy in the world. As you said, there are worse things going on in Africa but unfortunately, in the US, it's not about people, its all about money.

On topic, I think this should be closed. Its getting a little extreme in here.

If you join another country's military unless you have that country's citizenship, you will be kicked from US citizenship. You might even be kicked of from US citizenship regardless if you have dual citizenship because the US doens't recognize dual citizenships.

I just thank God that this is a different group than when I first came inquiring and that TAW overwhelmed me with a loving and humble attitude rather than that hatred and propaganda that
has been filling it lately.

I also thank God that TAW is not at all a representative of Orthodoxy in real life.
