Lord Jesus, author and perfector of our faith, we fix our eyes on You. We're trusting in Your Word and living for the day when we will see You, face to face. Every day that passes brings us one day closer to glory.

Lord You ARE the author and perfector of our faith...we are safe in Your hands...let me keep remembering this Lord. How Great thou Art!

Lord, please stay with those affected by hurricane Katrina. These people need You and Your protection; please bless them with life and health. Thank You, Lord, for seeing that Katrina was weaker than it could have been. In Jesus' name I pray, Amen.

Holy Spirit, please grant Your gifts of wisdom and understanding to those who are near to death now in the hurricane's wake, that they may say Yes to Christ Jesus as Lord! That they may ask for forgiveness for their sins. Help them to have a contrite heart as they leave this world. In the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, Amen.

Please grant that I may either go onto disability for the remainder of this pregnancy, or take away the pain. But if it is Your will my Jesus that this illness continues, then please help me, give me your strength. Let me not despair dear Lord. But please help me to be a good wife and mother and worker and Christian through the pain and tears. Grant me your peace. Please provide for my family if I have to stop working.

Jesus, I trust in you. Whatever is your will for me is perfect, this I know. I trust in you. You will never leave your children alone.

Be with the ones who don't go to church, lead and help them to get up and go to church and worship about you Jesus
Be with the leaders of the world and President & his cabinet and help them to make the right choices and decisions for the people and the country
Be with the world and people of the world and watch over them

This is an Email from Erin Hall, a nurse who is trapped in Charity Hospital in New Orleans. I'm posting it here for all to read, to show you how desperate the situation in New Orleans really is. I received this Email this morning:

I am stuck in N.O., flooding, mass casualties comparable to 911 and pearl harbor (as of now). dead bodies floating, people trapped in attics d/t flooding, etc. Where i am has begun to resurge flooding, we are having meds and food flown in, we are on lock down indefinitely (weeks-months very probable). please pray for the nurses doctors and families that are trapped here in the hospital and others trapped throughout the city (who will not make it)and that food and resources will be available to us in order for us to survive. Charity Hospital had patients on ventilators that all died when their generator went out. Our generators are said to have roughly 4 days left before we lose all power. Who knows how much longer we will have water (which isn't drinkable).this is soooo serious and sooo critical here. James Dub, please forward this to my friends, there is no method of communication other than email (cells don't work, landlines are pretty much completely shot).


Please email me, I am really scared, just want to see my family again. Celeste, i miss y ou. Winston and Mollie (her pets) are trapped in the apt and will likely be dead by the time (months) we are able to return to N.O. (if we get out). Please pray they go quickly (flood surge, etc) and don't spend a long time hungry or afraid and alone. I will lose everything I own, as have/will all my coworkers. they are saying it could be 9mons-1 yr before they can even begin to rebuild N.O. We are likely all out of jobs after this is over because the hospitals are likely to all go under (flooding, damage , no New Orleans residents). Please forward this to anyone you can so that prayers can be made. I miss and love all of you and am thinking of yall and wish for nothing more than to get out of there.

Lord I pray especially for erwin...Lord, I can understand her being afraid...there is death all around her...Lord let her know Your Presence today...a strong sense of Your Presence keeping her thru it all and bring saving miracles into her life...thank You Lord.
