Saw it. Liked it. Read the comics. Actually they stuck pretty close to the DC universe view of Heaven and Hell, Angels and Demons. I liked how they worked the Spear of Destiny into the story, now if only they could have gotten the Spectre in there it would have been even better!

I went and saw this a while ago...didn't like it though.

Keanu Reeves could play a good Max Payne with his monotonous acting as usual lol.

The special effects were cool but the whole movie just got sillier.

The Demons weren't that tough either for even Constantine. And why couldn't they use a different Angel or two instead of Gabriel? He's already been used in the Prophecy movies!! X_X

Oh well...the movie was alright overall...just wasn't my thing though and neither was the concept of earning your way into Heaven.

The best exchange of dialogues in my opinion was when Dodson goes "I don't believe in the Devil" and then Constantine goes "Well...you should, he believes in you."

Satan doesn´t believe in anything. I disagree with this whole Hollywood notion of portraying God and Satan as equally powerful. In reality it´d be more like comparing the sun to a microbe. More Hollywood disinformation if you ask me.

the fantasy element of the film i guess, some of the special effects were a little gruesome

He/She wasn't stabbing a "pregnant" woman she (the woman) was being used as a gateway for Mammon (Lucifers son) to come into the world so he (Mammon) could rule it.

Too long? Meh, ah well. I know what you mean, Keanu playing another save the world role. Even in Bill and Ted he saved the world. Wonder if his reseme says "Your hero."
