  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

yes, there was a scene, I missed it too and I wanted to know what happened...

I watched it last night and waited forever to get through the credits.
There is one short scene that plays afterwards. Constantine shows up at the cemetary and sets something on Chas' headstone and says "you did good".
After he turns around chas is up on the headstone with wings spread out, and takes off into the sky.

I rather liked the movie, it had great special effects and a good story line.
The guy playing Satan was awesome, that was some good acting.
On a side note, I could see that story being alot more plausible than the biblical version. Like Constantine said, "god is just a kid with an antfarm."

I think from the amount of people saying the movie was bad I'll have to go see it, especially since someone remarked that they didn't like the Matrix or this.

I liked the Matrix trilogy, Equilibrium, Dark City, League of Extraordinary Gentlemen, Hellboy, Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow. What I've read thus far, I should like this movie.

I almost want to go see it again just because I missed out on the scene after the credits. I didn't think Hells bible should be that controversial. It was meant to show that Lucifer thinks he can still win in the end, but it shows that it is a false book because the whole prophecy that was discussed in the movie end up not happening.

I didn't quite get why both Heaven and Hell were in LA, but they did do a good enough job with both of the effects clearly show where you would rather end up.

I am going to go see the movie with my Bible Study in about an hour... it doesn't sound like my type of movie, so hopefully I will be in for a treat.

You're seeing this with your Bible Study group?

Just a warning, there are many inconsistencies with accepted Christian theology, but that can be ignored by remembering that these comics just take the Christian premise and take artistic liberties with the rest.

A solid, interesting (and yes, disturbing) movie. I have to see this again. Especially for the end credits that I missed.

Quote: "Again, some people hate it, some people are idiots. Definatly a link between the two."

Whatever happened to difference of opinion? If you didn't like the Godfather, would I call you an idiot. Out of your mind, yes, but not an idiot. Different strokes for different folks, remember....

What was Satan doing to Constantine when he was getting takin away to heaven??
He took away his lung cancer. Thats why when he pulled his hands out of him they were full of tar. And that's why at the end John chewed on some (assumed) nicotine gum instead of lighting up.

I don't think that Gabriel is an arch angel, well, I'm pretty sure he is not. Gabriel is the official messenger for God the Father, and Michael is the highest ranking arch angel in heaven's army. It is Michael who defeats satan in revelation. Gabriel is decribed as a man in white linen in the bible.

Gabriel's a fallen archangel. So it's not out of the ordinary for her/him to tamper with the spiritual world along with wreak havoc. Looks like Gabriel became what Lucifer was before he was cast out of heaven.

The movie wasn't based off the Bible.....

Or the historical Constantine. But I wonder what the percentage of people that went to see The Passion of the Christ went to see Constantine for the same reasons.

I want a movie were we get to see Angels in action, you know saving people, Destroying Demons that sort of thing.

I havent seen Constantine, How many "angels" apear in this movie? cause I know theres TON of demons

I dont like that people think that God is Weak and Lazy, and that angels are useless Bums who float in the clouds.

No! Angels are The ARMY of God, they Fight DEMONS,Save People and Much more!

They only make movies of Humans Fighting Demons, and Make God and The Angels seems Useless, heartless and Stupid.

You see lots of Angels too. However, in Constantine, they usually like to stay in the shadows and not spread their wings. Despite, you will see some angels prove their angels by revealing their wings. They're quite beautiful. :)
