My understanding is that the Quran is an addition to and clarification of the Old Testament for Muslims, but I hope a Muslim steps in clarify because my knowledge of Islam is limited.

I understand the Rabbinic position that the Talmud is part of the "Oral Torah" but no other religion views the Talmud this way. For the rest of us, particularly Karaite Jews, the Talmud is an addition to the Torah.

An addition to the Torah would be changing the number of books, changing the number of verses, changing the meanings of verses, replacing verses, replacing books, etc. The Torah is still five books. They read the same (for the most part) in Jewish Bibles, Catholic Bibles, Greek Orthodox Bibles, and Protestant Bibles.
There is a lot more to Judaism than just “the first half” of the Bible, including the Oral Torah.
