Hmm. Semi-random observation:
In this thread and the "parallel passage" in the Fundy Zone, we have a lot of Conservative Christians expressing the perception that CF "disses" them.
Meanwhile, in the Forums Closing thread, there seems to be a general consensus that the opposite is true: CF is persecuting liberals and non-Christians.
Any time you ask a "liberal" how can they say they are a Christian when "obviously" what they believe in runs counter to what the Apostles and Jesus teach, then they punch the persecution ticket.
Every single writer in the New Testament represents "conservative" Christian reality.
When that is pointed out to the Humanists that claim that they are Christians, they get all hufffy.
All you can do is pray for these kinds of people.
For example: Jesus taught that "marriage" is a man and a woman. Liberals say Jesus was a liar and didn't mean what he was quoted as saying. Another example: There is no connection between the letter of Paul to Philemon talking about slaves and gay sex.
I don't see how one can be a "Christian" when rejecting Christ Jesus.
But that's just me.
And James, and Peter, and John, and Jude, and Paul. Oh, and Jesus too. Almost forgot Him.
Liberals claim to be persecuted for not being able to attack Christian truth with abandon. It's even worse with "progressives."
I would like to see one Liberal or Progressive back up their positions WITH the New Testament witness.
But asking that is persecuting them.
Because, of course, they cannot do it.
Seperating the wheat from the chaff is all we are witnessing. Did anyone (that is a Christian) think that things would be rosy this time in history?
Not according TO Jesus. And James, Peter, John, James and Paul.
