We got some pretty good news yesterday. The doctor said Jacob was definitely going to survive this. Now, I heard that third hand, but I choose to believe that. So, Praise the Lord for what He has done already, and prayerfully, Jacob will recover 100%!

PRAISE THE LORD, Lisa!!!! I will continue to pray for Jacob, and the rest of his family as well. I will also pray that his recovery is swift and complete!

That is wonderful news, Lisa. I am going to say a Rosary for his mother tonight, so that she has the strength to guide him through this and stand strong for him.

I just wanted to thank you all for praying for my friend. She is home and the surgery was successful. She's doing really well, I talked to her for a bit this evening. She sounded good, although she said she feels loopy from all the drugs. But hey...no pain!

I'm so sorry. I will pray that the Lord show them somehow that they must put that aside for their son, but mostly for that poor little boy. BTW, how old is he?

14 years old. Long, long, awful story. His mother deserted them for a year and I took care of the kids. Then, she came back and wouldn't hardly ever let us see them. My brother in law wasn't much better, avoiding child support, drinking, doing drugs. Just a mess all around. Before this, I haven't seen Jacob since he was about 10 and that was only briefly at a funeral. We all live in the same town, or almost.

There hasn't been a day that went by that I didn't think about them. One night on this forum, a boy named JohnMichael came on and started talking about some things. All of a sudden, I thought it was one of the kids. He was the right age and my heart just wanted it to be him. It wasn't, but it just about killed me.

Jacob is the baby. He has an older brother and sister. Their sister has been more of a Mother to those boys than their Mom has been. She is up at the hospital threatening anyone that she can have them thrown out, even their Dad. She parades all of her boyfriends into his ICU room and then tells my brother in law, "They have been more of a father to Jacob than you ever were".

Sorry, it just makes me so angry and so sad for those kids.

I'm so sorry to hear that Lisa. I will continue to pray for Jacob and his family.

I will pray that God will continue to work miracles in their lives -- besides healing for Jacob!!! -- especially in regards to their problems with each other. It can be so hard when a family suffers from these problems and is then faced with a crisis like this...

Hugs and prayers for you as well, Lisa. I can hear your love for everyone involved in your words, and know that you too are hurting...

I think there is a lot of division in a lot of churches these days...sad that. I will keep your church in prayer.
