  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

The Bible states:

Rom 3:10 -12.. as it is written: "None is righteous, no, not one; no one understands; no one seeks for God. All have turned aside; together they have become worthless; no one does good, not even one."

Fortunately "but God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. Since, therefore, we have now been justified by his blood, much more shall we be saved by him from the wrath of God". (Romans 5:8,9)

They say what goes around comes around. This is somewhat close to what are the consequences of sin are. For one, generally speaking, sin is labeled sin because it is harmful either to the one who sins and/or others. The consequences differ depending on the sin. For instance, murder may not be very conductive towards your relationship with others.

Of course, this all depends on what you think is a sin. Perhaps to you sins are actions which harm no one. In such a case, if an action causes no harm then there can be no intrinsically negative consequences. That is to say that just because an action is neutral or good does not mean that there not be bad consequences but these will be unfortunate and not as a matter of course.

:lol Thats such a load of ****, we all sin, we all die, we all die alone, thats like saying "If you drink a gallon of water you have to pee"

Except, the Christian belief is that, since Christ saved us from our sins, we get eternal life if we accept his grace.

You get eternal life after you die, saying you die because you sin is ridiculous, we all die because of our bodies deteriorate or just plain break. Was Jesus sinless or did he sin?

Someone please enlighten me to the consequences to sinning, you all seem so afraid of "what's a sin and is it okay if I do it? will god hate me?" but to me there are no consequences to sinning, I just dont get it, maybe this is why Im not a Christian

If you're not a Christian, then it's dishonest of you to have an avatar that says you're a Lutheran.
