As mentioned in the OP ... it's an impressive result.

Not nearly as impressive as the bellyaching and excuses for why the unelectable didn't get elected.

Don't get me wrong; you started off fine -- Roy was indeed a bad candidate, but you just couldn't understand why that was a problem...

Let's see. Voters rejected both "dynasty" candidates thrust upon them by the major parties. The only person who figured out how to fight back against the unending onslaught of personal accusations was Donald Trump. Day in and day out Trump attacked those who accused him of anything. He still does. He remains president despite a year-long effort by a special prosecutor. He remains president despite being held in contempt by the leaders of the party he represents. He remains president despite the unending onslaught of a determined media which reveals more glaring inaccuracies and outright bias on a daily basis.

Whether anyone likes it or not, Trump continues to fight back against the politics of personal destruction. One after one his accusers have gone down in flames ... while Trump remains standing. It's an interesting situation.

and i believe, the whole trump thing, will get even more interesting.
