I think one has to be careful with the difference between the two terms: sinlessness and faithfulness. I sometimes wonder about the same question: Does God choose which Saved Christian to go to heaven or no? Then i bump into one of my devotional books which gave me a clearer picture about the question. God indeed does choose but not by the fact you sin or not but by the fact if you are faithful or not. Hence the difference in those two terms. In the old testament, God rescued the israelites from Egypt but God also destroy everyone of them for being unfaithful (mount sinai, etc etc). I think if we accepted Christ as our savior, its not an automatic one way ticket to heaven. Rather we have to keep our faith and grow. At the same time, we will sin along the way. However, if we repent and give an honest effort or pray about our sins, thats part of maturing as Christians. We are trying to achieve Christ like characters but we can never be Christ and not sin. Always have faith!
