  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Brothers and Sisters, my heart is heavy. One of my friends says that the we can't trust the English version of the bible is this true? This friend said that the phrase "save by grace through faith" in English are empty words cause I don't know the true meaning of them. Am I believing a lie? My heart is troubled because I have hope in God's word, and have only really know the English version, while only knowing a few of the Hebrew and Greek words. Do I really know Christ, can I be saved even though I've never been baptized though I want to be? My spirit feels lost. Is my friend right?

Yes you can trust the English version. Thank God we have the internet with websites like blueletterbible where we can actually find out the translation of words in Greek and Hebrew.

One English version that is pretty literal is "Youngs Literal Translation" where everything is literally translated by someone named Young.

And no, one doesn't need to be "baptized" to be saved, because Acts 16:31 - Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved--you and your household.

Baptism is an outward declaration to everyone in the physical realm that you are saved, but in the spiritual, all one needs is faith in the Finished Work of Christ.

Besides not everyone that got saved was baptized. Guy on the cross that believed in Jesus wasn't :p

Who is Yeshua/Jesus? Did not He say I am the way .. I am the truth I am the life? Did not He say after He goes the holy spirit will come and teach us all things? JESUS IS REAL! He is IN YOU! We pray before we read that word.. ask HIM to open our eyes. There is no other TRUTH out there but Him. So you read that word.. He will show you tell you.. have faith in Him. Not what we see hear feel. He said it in HIS word.. HE WILL DO IT! Pfft wow we can get lost if we listen to MAN right?

So..dont listent to me.. no really.. JESUS IS REAL!. So brake down the words to what was ORG written. Ask HIM to show you. His SHEEP.. YOU ME know His voice. So He speaks :) And will back it up with His word. Saying "is not wirtten, did I not say" always going back to that word
