  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

I shall be praying for you as well...don't give up, its what Lucifer wants. I have to agree - stay the course, fight the good fight. Even if he doesnt reciprocate, show him love. Show him that you are still the faithful loving wife you have been. Heck, even on the un-biblical side: Be the better person and do the right thing.

The only justification for divorce is adultery. Sorry...

Karla,

Yes, I do seek my strength from the Lord. I know for a fact I would not have made it this far by my own doing. The old me would of been out of this relationship along time ago. Yet, here I still am.

I feel that what also has helped me in my situation is that I know it may sound odd, but, my hubby and I are still I would say good friends. Even after all the hurtful things he has said and done; he is still my friend. I try to picture this as this is something he is going through. I don't want to be like many others that simply gave up.

We both have gone to counseling. Our church has the couple participate in counseling only for about 3 sessions. They feel that we should look into scripture and simply obey. This is fine for the believer for this is already what they are doing. It's the partner that does not have the walk with the Lord that eventually goes back to being the same.

Thank you for praying. May God Bless you as well.

Texwerz,

Thank you for the prayer. Yes, I know this is what Satan wants to break our marriage and give this to our children. I try so very hard to stay faithful to God and stay put.

I know the only reason for divorce is adultry. I'm fortunate in one manner that the attraction he had to another and one time did not go that far. I wonder though if I did not find out about the mutual interest; how far would it have gone? I don't dwell in this any more. I simply leave it in the past where it shall remain. Not that it does'nt hurt. I choose to move forward.

Sometimes, I think this is the reason he does not want to leave. He does not want to be the person that looks bad to others.

Thank you again and God Bless

You mentioned that you have read 'Power of a Praying Wife' perhaps it is time to pick it up again and pray a prayer a day, there are 30 prayers, one for each day of the month!! Just keep praying them each day.

Another good book is 'The Lady, Her Lover and Her Lord' by TD Jakes.. that onew is more for your spiritual walk and sanity :)

Slimfish,

Yes, I must admit that I have thought of separating from my hubby. I thought maybe if he were to get a taste of where he may be leading us to, he may wake up and start a working on the marriage. Even though I brought this up my hubby refuses to go. He tells me we can work on it with both of us in the same house. The problem is that he does not work on it.

God Bless

Charligirl,

Maybe it is time to pick up the book again. Thank you for suggesting another book. I do find myself reading quite a bit more these days. Reading was always one of my favorite things to do. The funny thing is before I didn't have time. Now, I use this time as a distraction of what is going on.

One of the blessings of this trial in our life is that my walk has diffently grown.

God Bless
