Michael, I have no idea of the history of the book other than what I gave you at the beginning where I gave my assessment of the Oxford NRSV. Of course it is not in the King James, or the NIV, those are Protestant Bibles. only Catholic Bibles contain the Apocryphal books, and not all of those contain all of them. The Oxford NRSV does contain ALL OF THEM.

EDIT : I should have said, more accurately, all of those recognized by Catholicism.

NOTE : I am not trying to spread Catholic doctrine here, but I look at any ancient source to see what is in it.

It's good to keep an open mind, but watch out for the stumbling blocks.
