Concerning conviction over sin...

When a true Christian sins, can the Lord use physical anxiety to convict us? For these past few weeks I've been under this heavy anxiety. My physical heart is hurting from it at times.

Well if He does, there is a sure way to make it stop.

I think he certainly can.

When I was going through some questioning issues before especially right before I left the Catholic Church I had anxiety so bad that I went to a clinic with weakness and general illness and faint feelings. The doctor checked me out and sent me to the emergency room with a heart related emergency because his tests were off and my pulse was weird. They ran me through tests there. Then there were tests for the next few weeks. It turned out to be stress. It all went away when I repented of sin and decided to put all of my trust in Christ. Now I'm so worry free I feel actually lighter. (I'm not on any medication)

Following Christ is the most important thing. When you are doing your best to follow Him as we are directed by Holy Spirit's inspired words in scripture everything, even death loses it's fear factor.

I absolutely think so. It is a good way to get our attention, I give him that.

Yes He can. I've experienced it in my life, as well as a lot of other believers throughout history. One of the clearest examples is king David in Psalms 32:3-5.

We often experience physical anxiety, but I believe that's much more a consequence of the guilt that comes from the conscience as a result of sin, than God causing it.
