This sounds like a matter to take up with a counciler or therapist, not a meaningful reply to anything that has been said. You were abused as a child and it clearly effects your judgement. I was neglected as a child, and so I have some anger issues (surpise surprise) but I have worked through them, mostly. At least, when I'm not being beaten over the head by others who suffer the same kinds of problems only much worse.

AS in being physically manipulative to demand control of the situation in order to force the wife into a situation of having no other recourse than to deal with it whether she wants to or not.

This thread has derailed so badly, it is not anything in line with scriptures, but one persons self proclaimed interpretation as to how women MUST be treated.

NOT one woman in here would concur to such conclusions, and we are told WE are the ones wrong...
Here is a clue...women know what they want, what they like and what they do not like.

TO tell a group of women what they like and how they must be treated is offensive, sadly, some do not see how disgusting it is and offense women take to this, no matter what someone pulls out of scriptures to their own interpretation.

Then in all of my experience with your gender, you are quite unique. Most females like to be thought of as girlish and not old. Even famous nuns have commented as such. When her only portrait was painted St. Teresa said to the painter, "God forgive you, you have made me look like an old hag."

After her death, Geronimo said what it was too dangerous to say during her lifetime, that, "Even at sixty she looked more like a little girl than an old women." And went on to describe how much she liked being told that.
