You're right about that. The attempt to deny the evidence of fraud is so labored, so far-fetched, that it is less believable than the claims about there having been fraud.

At first it was just the blunt denial, "there was no fraud," then it became "there is no evidence (of fraud)" and now it's this conspiracy theory??

It started with a drizzle but quickly turned into a downpour: Disinformation about the election, and in particular unfounded claims of election fraud, has flooded the internet over the past week. And Americans were primed to believe it.

Dozens of false claims shared on social media have kept fact-checkers busy and partisans energized. Pro-Trump Facebook groups that dispute the election results have attracted tens of thousands of users and become a lively marketplace for exchanging disinformation (until the social media network shuts them down). And President Trump’s supporters have shown up in person as well to rail against what they perceive to be election fraud.

And to what end and reason would they risk such a thing? It'd take much courage to do so knowing it can be a dangerous thing to be speaking out of what they saw. Funny thing though how when Dem so called "whistle blowers" come forth they have layers and layers of protection with nobody knowing who they are. Think of the anonymous the Atlantic brought forth in their accusations of Trump saying some things. Or the whistle blower (so called of the Impeachment) These people however are true heroes with guts not afraid to let their name be on the record.

And to what end and reason would they risk such a thing?

Risk? You think it's illegal to post fake videos? The prisons would be overflowing.

It'd take much courage to do so knowing it can be a dangerous thing to be speaking out of what they saw.
