When I first watched this film I was a kid who just saw sword fighting. Re-watched it the other day to analysis and so much obvious and subtle blasphemy against Christianity.
The reason I post is because in 1963 this would have been when a serious meltdown started in the church, and films like this would have been at the forefront helping that along. Perhaps we can learn where the false doctrines crept in?
Just a tip, if you believe in libertarian freedom of the will, you might find it hard to distinguish the difference between some of your views and the Pagans in the film, So watch carefully.
